This is built on an “Everyday Low Price (EDLP)” proposition, supported by efficient sourcing and scale-led cost advantages. National Mart operates as a large, destination-led format, enabling sourcing efficiencies, price competitiveness and wider assortment across categories. This allows us to target the broader consumption pyramid, expand our reach across customer segments and drive higher average basket sizes and increased share of wallet compared to our supermarket format.
Aligned with our positioning of “India Ka Hypermart”, the format is anchored in affordability and accessibility, transcending regional preferences and supporting scalability across geographies. Driven by customer traction and high throughput volumes, National Mart benefits from efficient inventory rotation, and healthy inventory turns, supporting working capital efficiency and overall store economics.
